Forensic Reconstruction

In an exhibition at the Tom Thompson Gallery, The Persistence of Doubt, I worked with artist Michael Markowsky to create a recontructed face from two photographs of a skull. In the first case I did a clay “portrait ” of the skull and then created a reconstruction on a 3D scan of my sculpture.

In an attempt to use my skills to benefit my community in a concrete way, I decided to take classes in forensic reconstruction. These are pictures from two classes taken with Karen T. Talyor, the first at the Scottsdale Art School in Arizona, the second at the Forensic Anthropology Department the Texas State University
